Effies Knitwear Designs for Men, Women and Children is located in Cape Cod, MA

I was born and raised in a small town on the Island of Crete and I learned to knit in much the same way as I learned to talk. At the age of 16 I met my husband Leo who is fro Boston, Ma and left my native Isle of Crete for the Unitrd States.

We were in the restaurant business for many years. For twenty years I managed different make-up counters in a department store. My husband and I reside on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and it was here that Effies *Knitwear* designs was born.

I was so enticed by the beautiful yarns I found at a friends store that I decided to relearn the craft of knitting. My mother was an accomplished knitter, had taught me well. It was like riding the proverbial bicycle- once you learn you never forget.

I discovered knitting was the perfect for of creative expression; I loved the soothing repition of simple knitting and the mental challenge of more complex patterns.
